Divers must have a certification for this trip. Divers without certification must book Discover Scuba Diving Koh Tao is an island just north of Koh Samui and is an excellent choice for the variety of dive sites there. From shallow, rocky sites to huge pinnacles, and a wide array of hard and soft corals, not to mention an abundance of marine life, there really is something for everyone. Your day will start with us picking you up at your hotel approximately 7:00 am. We will take you to the pier where you can enjoy some light breakfast and coffee/tea and meet Discovery Divers Team. The boat will leave the pier at 8:00 am. It takes approximately 80 minutes to reach Koh Tao by speedboat. Upon completion of the second dive the boat will return to Koh Samui, and you will be back at your resort around 3:30 pm.

Discovery Dive Centre
4 hr - Koh Tao is an excellent choice for beginners and experienced divers alike. There are about 12 different dive sites that we generally visit and which dive sites we do on a particular day will depend on the prevailing weather and dive conditions. Among dive sites available are Chumphon Pinnacle, Mango Bay, Shark Island, Twin Rocks, Japanese Gardens, as well as others. Generally we depart from our pier about 8:50 and return to the pier about 16:00. This tour is available for certified divers, and snorkelers also. All trips are taken our own Discovery Divers speedboats and include all equipment.

Great day out

My girlfriend and I went out snorkelling to Ko Tao with Discovery. The locations were excellent and we saw lots of fish (including many parrot fish, thousands of “Doreys”, but no Nemo :)) a Sting Ray and a Moray eel. Unfortunately my girlfriend got sea sick and she had to skip the second dive. A big thank you to Dion who was leading the trip and really went the extra mile to take care of my girlfriend, even staying with us for 30 mins after the trip to allow her to recover. We really appreciated that.

Special, Memorable, Fantastic.

----- PLEASE READ ----- Eric and Discovery Divers went out of their way to ensure the best possible experience throughout the whole day Scuba diving. They are extremely knowledgable of the local area as they have been in business for over 20 years. I was lucky enough to do three dives of which all were extremely memorable. They picked the best spots for the conditions on the day (highly recommend Sail Rock) along with making our safety of the upmost importance. At no point did I feel pressured or out of my depth as Zoe (Our dive instructor) was consistently checking in to make sure we were okay. If you are lucky enough to have Zoe as your dive instructor you are in for a treat! Zoe was much more than just a dive instructor that day, she not only showed us some of the best dive spots in Thailand but provided us with plenty of local knowledge of different islands including Koh Nang Yuan. The restaurant recommended to us for lunch on Koh Tao was also an absolute winner with lovely food - Thanks Zoe. It was my Birthday on the day of the trip and it will certainly be one of the more memorable ones. Eric also provided me with a T-Shirt as a gift which was the 'icing on the cake'. Overall I couldn't of asked for a more special day. Thank you to the whole team at Discovery Divers especially Eric and Zoe.

FANTASTIC, 5 stars not enough!

What a day out and a great team to go with! The staff were beyond helpful from the moment I arrived and made the trip run very smoothly. Furthermore made better by the jaw dropping beauty of the Koh Tao coastline with great marine life on show. The lunch was very tasty but made better as was served by Pop and his infectious laugh! (You could hear it from 20 meters down) If you want to dive choose discovery! Couldn’t recommend higher.

Amazing dive!

Sam our dive guide was very friendly and we felt safe underwater with her! Eric the owner was also very helpful with the booking process and communication. Best part of the dive was swimming with the whale shark at chumphon pinnacle!

Great experience.

We rented a 3 engine boat for our group and we were all convinced that we've made the best choice and decision to book with them. Zoey was awesome and so is Pierre. We went to very good diving and snorkeling spots. We saw a lot of different species of fish, an eagle ray and 2 sharks!!! Zoe guided us in the water and she was very happy to point and name the fishes. It was great for our kids and I. Highly recommended!
