What To Expect
Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park
Ang Thong National Marine Park är en fascinerande skärgård av 42 eller så öar i centrala kusten i södra Thailand. Det är nordväst om Koh Samui
Koppla av på vacker strand och njut av vattenaktiviteter som simning, snorkling eller kajakpaddling i kristallklart havsvatten (all inclusive!).
Besök Thalay Nai eller Emerald Lake, en saltvatten sjö omgiven av kalksten klippor. Njut av vattenaktiviteter som snorkling, kajakpaddling, ta kontakt med den välbevarade naturen i den nationella marina parken.
Utmana dig själv genom att klättra på Wua Talap Hill för att se öarna från toppen.

AMAZING!!! This was my favorite part of our trip to Thailand- everything was perfect! I highly recommend big boat!
The food was the best I had on a tour here (besides our cooking tour lol), staff was so attentive and helpful, and it was BEAUTIFUL.
Food was delicious and big! Definetely authentic and Thai. Thanks to the chef!
The boat was bigger with nice seating. The bathroom was also very nice! I’m usually terrified of boat bathrooms but this one was super clean and I wasn’t afraid to use it when moving. The only confusing part was flushing - you add clean water from the bucket I think and that “flushed” it
The snacks were great- they offered bananas, cake, coffee, tea and sweets outside of lunch. The tour guides were great and remembered all passengers.
The only con is I wish it was longer and we had more time kayaking and at the Ang Thong Marine park and Jaras viewpoint!
Especially the Jaras viewpoint, we wanted to do the viewpoint and cave hike and had 2 hours but ran out of time. The cave hike is really hard and took us about an hour, you will be tired afterwards and with water and bathroom breaks, there is not enough time to finish the viewpoint hike and cave hike. We only made it to the 2nd viewpoint at Jaras. The tour guides were good though and gave us lots of time warnings which was nice. Definetely do the Jaras viewpoint before the cave.
Besides more time, which is no big deal, I loved it!
Food and service was 100%, boat was really nice and comfortable, and the park was flawless! I loved kayaking!!!!

Everything was amazing, we really enjoyed the trip! If 2h of cruising to the national marine park and back is too much for you I recommend to go there by speed boat. But it was definetly worth it, we even got to see some monkeys!

Really enjoyed this trip, very prompt pick up with excellent food
The boat journey was long but met alot of lovely people and the staff were very accommodating
We even left a bag with very important belongings inside and the company replied within moments and the driver returned it to us, so grateful and such an amazing experience, would highly recommend

Well planned good lunch. Plan for walking and bring in the water. Loved the hike water is very murky. Kayaking was good. Snorkeling was disappointing

This was a very successful excursion. The crossing with the big boat is quite long but it is pleasant. Very good organization and explanation of guide about course. Lunch was extensive and very tasty. Thank you for this wonderful day.

Absolutely stunning scenery. The trek up the hill is hard but worth it. We even saw monkeys. The staff worked really hard and were very kind to my daughter when she cut her foot on coral. Be aware of the itinerary because it’s hard to hear above the boat engine noise. Definitely value for money. We had a super day out.

This was a really nice day from Koh Samui. Beautiful views and really nice cruising and kayaking around the islands. A note though for vegetarians/ pescatarians - there was no decent option with tofu or fish for lunch so might be worth bring something extra for yourself. I’d also suggest this really isn’t suitable for very young children. The hike is short but very intense and the ferry doesn’t have very secure railings. We hit a big swell on the way back and we and our tweens/teens were really getting thrown around. All that said, definitely worth the trip though.
Ang Thong National Park Big Boat Tour

Can’t beat the value with this inclusive Ang Thong National Marine Park Tour. We were whisked away from our hotel to board the large tour boat. At the ferry terminal you will have to pay for the park’s entrance fee- 300 baht for adults 120 baht for a child; which is not included in your tour package. There are 3 levels- bottom near the engine room, 2nd main level, 3rd limited roof deck. I personally rec the 2nd level with a seat that has a back rest. On a sunny day the l limited top deck is nice to sun bathe. The boat crosses the body of water at a snails pace ~ 12 mph and takes about 2 hrs from Nathon Pier Koh Samui to the Ang Thong National Park. When the boat arrives the passengers are ferried over to the beach in a smaller long boat. You spend 2 hrs at the beach/park. You can hike to the view point 150 m, swim, snorkel, or sun bathe. There are bathroom facilities and a small refreshment cafe if you want to purchase drinks. Then you are ferried back to the big boat for a delicious and fantastic lunch. After lunch we move to the 2nd destination and ferried onto the beach. The lagoon is beautiful but the beach and hike is overcrowded for its size. The lagoon is protected and only for viewing- no swimming. Finally, we head back to Koh Samui and transported to our hotel. Overall, the excursion was great and the value is unbeatable. My rec is to book the tour and visit the beautiful archipelago. As the tours become more commercialized the prices will increase and exclusive.
