Great day out

Really enjoyable experience, water was a bit cloudy for the snorkelling as it was windy on the day but the pig island was a lot of fun, a lot of pigs and a lovely viewpoint the guide took us to.

Nice Day Trip

I loved the pig island and the puppies roaming around the island. I was surprised how good the lunch buffet was:)

Pig Island Boat Ride

This is more like laying for transport to a snorkeling spot and Koh Madsum, where the cute piggies are. The snorkeling spot we went to wasn't very good due to windy weather we had to go to a different spot. Luckily I had done snorkeling earlier at Phi Phi Islands so I wasn't too disappointed. Only thing is they don't have disposable mouth pieces for the snorkel so that was unsanitary in my opinion. The speed boat was also jampacked with people compared to other tours I've been on, but you definitely get what you paid for. Lunch was ok. Basic fried chicken (1 piece each), steamed rice, tom yum, salad, fruit, chicken entree and water. The pigs were the highlight! Also note there were about 8 available kayaks for about 25ish people. So you'll have to take turns but your get 3 hours on the island so it seemed like everyone got a turn. Pros: free transport (Koh Samui is infamous for expensive taxis and transport!) Pigs: super friendly and there were about 8 of them. Beach: absolutely stunning!! Plenty of lounges, pretty clean and there is a bar! 120 Baht for a beer 200 Baht for a strong cocktail! Cons: very cramped but it is a very short boat ride! Not really a "tour" they tell you where we are going and how long but no other information on history, or anything else so dont go expecting much. Overall a good experience on a budget!

Worth it for cost of experience

It was worth the experience for the price of each person for experience I will say. We traveled family of five. Ages 5,10,12, and 2 adults. Bring your passport ID. You don’t need the physical just the ID number. We were picked up at our hotel in van. We stayed at Celes resort. The van AC not good and ride was long. Driver almost hit a car, but I feel this is very normal in Thailand. We were taken to a marina and loaded onto speedboat. Speedboat is a bit older. Walk to it was very rocky so bring good flip flops. Crew helped to load on boat and had water in coolers for us. There were seats under shade on boat and in front. We went to island to snorkel, on the way a member of the crew was trying to fix an engine on back but it had a backup so there was not trouble with boat stopping it just didn’t go super fast. Snorkeling not good visibility but did see some fish. This stuff I feel you can’t control. Then off to pig island. Wonderful lunch and stayed there 3 hrs. Pigs don’t go in water but they are super cute and was a great experience for my kids. Even got to see 5 day old baby pigs! Kids kayaked and played in water and looked for seashells and crabs while mom and dad had cocktails and enjoyed. Food was really good! Staff did well. Then loaded and headed back where they placed us back into van and back to hotel. Steven on boat spoke English and did a good job and was very attentive.
