1st arrived at a larger island where we discovered we could hike up 580m to a look-out, or go along the beach to a cave - we opted for the cave, as we didnt fancy hiking up the mountain. Boy were we wrong! To get to the cave, we had a near vertical climb usually a fortunately strong rope! It was NOT for the faint of heart & had we been in Europe, would have undoubtedly been closed due to Health & Safety fears!
Was an exhilarating experience- but only after we were back on the safety of the beach! (A twisted ankle or worse, and I’m not sure how they would manage to extract you for medical attention)
Strong sturdy footwear highly recommended, and NOT for the unfit or children!
Lunch was back on the boat, which was very well organised & tasty!
The 2nd island was reached after a very short but pleasant kayak trip.. could view the lagoon, at the top of some steep stairs or lounge on the beach…
All in all, a good day out.
