This tour is recommendable to anyone who visits Koh Samui with a thrill of climbing mud/dirt terrains. Takes you to see the BIG Buddha & panoramic views of the island overlooking Koh Pangan. On a good day you'll be able to see Koh Tao.
Must visit!
Can’t help the weather!

We booked online for the following day through trip advisor after reading previous reviews.
We were picked up at the appointed hour & whisked away a short 10min drive into the heart of the jungle.
It was an overcast day & as time wore on the clouds looked more suspect and menacing until the heavens opened & it was torrential rain!

We could not see any of the views at any of the vantage points we were taken too due to cloud cover & rain but this can in no way be blamed on the tour company.

The bikes were well maintained and easy to operate and the guides were careful to go at an average pace that suited all & ensured we could all keep up.

The terrain was a mixture of rough & smooth, easy & hard tracks that were both thrilling & scary for me having little experience in ATV riding.

I guess I just decided to be brave & trust that we wouldn’t be taken anywhere dangerous.

The weather sucked but it didn’t stop us and though throughly drenched and a little miserable for it, it was still an experience I’m very glad we did.

The only reason they lost a star was because they could have provided or sold us rain jackets being more familiar with weather here than us.... (for example rainy looking days don’t necessarily mean rain and it could just as easily turn sunny 10 mins later) in saying that they did give us a company t-shirt to change into when we got back.

Overall I would definitely recommend this tour!
Good but not great.

Turned up at reception at 14:09 having received a message through my TripAdvisor app that the pickup was at 14:10. I was greeted by the pickup driver with a very frosty reception as he was expecting a 14:00 pickup. I showed him the message on the app but that didn't appear to change his mood.

My wife's quad bike broke down and was given a replacement. On the way down, one if the guides was continually barking at us to pump the brakes so that they don't overheat. This was extremely difficult as releasing the brakes to perform the pump action was dangerous.

If the brakes on the bikes can't be used as intended then they are not for for purpose. That's not my interpretation it's a fact.

Put brakes on the bikes that are designed for the climate and terrain that don't need to be manually pumped all of the time.

We got to the summit of the mountain and there was a nice view f the coastline and a giant Buddha.

All in all, not great and not great value for the money that we paid.

Sorry.
Not for first timer. Try it at your own risk.

Rick was fantastic but the ATV guide was not. He expects us to know how to handle the ATV. Do not expect him to guide u if u r trying it for the first time.
